Things we'll know in heaven

Riding home from school in the auto rickshaw the other day Asha asked me "Who were our moms when we were babies?" (I always imagine that these conversations will happen in some romanticized scenario like while we're looking at childhood pictures or on Mother's day....sometime when I'm more prepared--not while we're riding down the busy road squeezed into the back of the auto with both girls and two backpacks on my lap trying to keep all our parts in the vehicle and barely able to hear the question!)
"What did you ask?", I said, wanting to make sure that she asked what I thought she did.
Asha repeated the question.
"We don't know, honey," I said. And before I could give any more commentary she said, "We'll know in heaven. And Mattias (the boy in their class) will know his ABC's."

We left it at that, paid our 10 rupees and walked home. :)

Why doesn't this surprise me? Wisdom in a small package!

okay, this is sweet and makes me laugh since ALL of the important conversations that we have had about adoption (or anything really) have been in a car! ha! there's in a rickshaw,
I wonder if Laura Ingalls asked important things while in the buggy?

Sweet answer that Asha had, and oh so true.

i think lainee says it best--'wisdom in that small little package' named Asha. and...maybe Mattias will learn his ABCs before heaven ;)
